What is Joomla?

Joomla! is an award-winning content management system (CMS) - that means website package. It's full of features & functions, and gives you the freedom to update your own website easily from anywhere with an internet connection.

The explanation mark is part of the name, but we would use it anyway because, if you haven't already noticed, we are pretty excited about it.

It's open source - which means freely available - & is currently the backbone of over 2 million websites worldwide.
